Kimi’s APM Journey at Autism Partnership

Real progress. Real change. A story of hope through intensive APM therapy.

Kimi was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of 2 years and 7 months. In January 2017, he began his early intervention journey through our intensive APM, a Progressive Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program at Autism Partnership Hong Kong.

At that time, Kimi had no language, struggled with compliance, and found it difficult to stay focused or engage with others. Like many children with ASD, his parents felt heartbroken and helpless watching him cry, tantrum, and withdraw.

But with the right support, things began to change.

Through intensive and individualized APM therapy, Kimi made remarkable progress in just a few years:

Developed functional language and began making independent requests

Improved eye contact, attention span, and ability to follow instructions

Gained social communication skills and participated in shared play

Built confidence and became ready for mainstream school
