Autism Partnership Hong Kong

Intensive One-on-One APM Therapy
Monthly Therapy Plan

Every child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) learns differently.

At Autism Partnership Hong Kong, we do not follow a fixed curriculum or a one-size-fits-all therapy approach. Our Autism Partnership Method® (APM®) is an individualized form of ABA therapy that is continuously adapted based on each child’s strengths, challenges, interests, motivation, and learning style.

Through intensive one-on-one treatment, our experienced clinical team helps children develop meaningful skills in communication, learning, social interaction, play, emotional regulation, independence, and school readiness.

Whether your child has recently received an autism diagnosis or is already receiving services elsewhere, our goal is to help them make meaningful and measurable progress.

3 levels of Individualized Treatment Plans Designed Around Your Child

Autism Partnership Hong Kong offers 3 levels of intensive APM® one-on-one treatment plan at our Quarry Bay and Kowloon centres.

The 3 programs vary based on the experience level of the staff, intensity of supervision and the oversight of the program by director-level clinicians. The number of one-on-one direct intervention hours by a therapist provided to a child may range from 15 to as many as 30-40 hours per week.

Which Program Is Right for My Child?

Every child is unique.

Our experienced consultants will recommend the most appropriate level of  therapy treatment based on your child's needs, developmental goals, and the level of clinical support required.

Why Families Choose Autism Partnership Hong Kong

Thousands of children receive autism intervention every year—but not all treatment is the same.

At Autism Partnership, we believe every child deserves a program designed specifically for them.

Rather than following a standard curriculum, our experienced clinicians continuously adapt teaching strategies based on each child’s strengths, motivation, learning style, and progress.

Our goal isn’t simply to complete therapy hours.

Our goal is to help children develop meaningful skills that improve everyday life.

No two children with autism are alike.

Our clinical team continuously adjusts teaching strategies based on your child’s progress, learning style, motivation, and developmental needs. Treatment is designed around the child—not the other way around.

Our intensive therapy programs are developed and supervised by highly trained behavioral consultants and clinicians who have worked with hundreds of children with ASD.

Every therapist receives extensive training, ongoing supervision, and continuous professional development to ensure high-quality treatment delivery.

Parents are an essential part of the treatment team.

Regular meetings, treatment reviews, parent training, and ongoing communication help ensure that skills learned in therapy are successfully applied at home and in everyday life.

Children receive support across multiple developmental areas through one coordinated treatment approach.

Our programs target:

  • Communication and language development
  • Learning how to learn skills
  • Attention and cooperation
  • Behavior management
  • Play and social interaction
  • Emotional regulation
  • School readiness
  • Daily living and independence skills

For families, progress is not measured only by data.

Progress means:

  • Responding when their name is called
  • Asking for help
  • Communicating wants and needs
  • Following instructions
  • Playing with peers
  • Participating successfully in school
  • Developing greater independence

These are the everyday skills that can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life and future.

Why Does Treatment Intensity Matter?

Learning doesn’t happen in a single therapy session—it happens through hundreds of meaningful learning opportunities over time.

Every time a child requests an item, follows an instruction, waits their turn, initiates play, or communicates with another person, they are practising important developmental skills. Intensive intervention allows these opportunities to occur consistently throughout the day, helping children strengthen existing skills while learning new ones.

At Autism Partnership Hong Kong, intensive therapy is never about simply spending more hours in a therapy room. It is about creating a structured, engaging, and motivating environment where children can learn across a wide variety of activities and everyday situations.

Many children benefit from intensive intervention because it allows them to:

The recommended intensity of therapy varies for every child. Our experienced clinical team carefully considers your child’s developmental profile, strengths, learning needs, and family goals before recommending an individualized treatment plan.

What Skills Will My Child Learn Through Intensive One-on-One APM®Therapy?

At Autism Partnership Hong Kong, our intensive one-on-one APM® therapy is individually designed to help children develop meaningful skills that improve communication, learning, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence. As your child develops, treatment goals are continuously reviewed and adjusted to ensure they remain meaningful and appropriate.

Real Progress.
Real Families.

Families often tell us that the biggest difference is seeing meaningful changes in everyday life.

Children who once struggled to communicate begin requesting what they want.

Children who avoided social interaction begin engaging with others.

Children who had difficulty participating in learning activities begin developing the skills needed for school success.

Every child’s journey is unique, but our commitment remains the same: helping each child achieve their fullest potential.

"His Progress Went Beyond What We Ever Thought Possible"

When our son Kimi was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at just two years old, we were overwhelmed with uncertainty. We worried about his future and wondered whether he would ever learn to communicate, make friends, succeed in school, or live an independent life.

At Autism Partnership Hong Kong, we met a team that saw possibilities where we saw challenges. They took the time to understand Kimi’s unique strengths, needs, and learning style, and designed an individualized treatment program just for him. Throughout the journey, they guided not only Kimi, but also our family with care, encouragement, and expert support.

Today, four years later, Kimi is thriving in a mainstream school alongside his classmates. Looking back, the progress he has made has gone far beyond what we ever imagined possible.

— Kimi’s Mother

"For the First Time, We Saw Him Truly Connect"

After just six months of APM® treatment at Autism Partnership Hong Kong, we began to see meaningful changes in Kasey.

His communication improved, he became more engaged with the people around him, and he started initiating interactions on his own. We also noticed greater motivation to learn, increased participation in everyday activities, and a growing interest in exploring the world around him.

Most importantly, we saw him genuinely connecting with us and with others. Those moments, which once felt out of reach, became part of our everyday life.

Watching Kasey grow in confidence and build meaningful relationships has been one of the greatest joys for our family.

— Kasey’s Father

Why Do Some Children Benefit from Intensive Therapy?

Children learn through repeated opportunities to practise important skills across different situations.

For many children with ASD, intensive intervention provides more opportunities to build communication, learning, social, and independence skills during important developmental years.

The recommended number of therapy hours depends on each child’s individual needs, developmental profile, and goals.

Our consultants will work with your family to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

Wondering how many ABA hours your child needs to make strong progress? Find out what research says.

Start Early. Start Right.
Imagine the Moments That Could Be Possible

Every child begins their journey in a different place.

For some families, progress means hearing their child say a first word.

For others, it’s seeing their child respond when their name is called.

Or sitting through dinner together.

Or making a friend.

Or asking to play.

Or telling Mum and Dad what they need.

These everyday moments may seem small—but they can change family life in extraordinary ways.

At Autism Partnership, these meaningful milestones are what we work toward every day.

Q&A

Children with ASD often require many more opportunities to learn and practise new skills than their typically developing peers. Skills such as communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, play, and independence are not learned in isolation—they are developed through repeated practice across many different situations.

Our Intensive One-on-One APM® Therapy Program is designed to provide children with frequent, individualized learning opportunities throughout the day. Every activity becomes an opportunity to teach, reinforce, and generalize important skills in meaningful ways.

Rather than simply increasing the number of therapy hours, our goal is to maximize the quality of every learning opportunity. Through continuous clinical decision-making, our therapists adjust teaching strategies based on your child’s motivation, responses, and progress, ensuring every session remains engaging, effective, and individualized.

For many young children, intensive early intervention provides the foundation needed to build communication, learning, social, and independence skills that support long-term development at home, in school, and throughout the community.

No. Every child with ASD has different strengths, challenges, and learning needs. While many young children benefit from intensive one-on-one intervention, the recommended number of therapy hours depends on your child’s developmental profile, goals, and current skills. During your consultation, our experienced clinical team will recommend an individualized treatment plan that is appropriate for your child.

Many children with autism require repeated opportunities to learn and practise new skills before they can use them independently in everyday life. Intensive one-on-one APM® therapy provides frequent, individualized teaching throughout the day, helping children develop communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, learning readiness, and independence. The goal is not simply more therapy hours, but more meaningful learning opportunities tailored to each child.

The Autism Partnership Method® (APM®) is a progressive, individualized approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Rather than following a fixed curriculum, our clinicians continuously adjust teaching strategies based on your child’s motivation, learning style, strengths, and progress. Every treatment plan is personalized to help each child learn as effectively as possible.

Every child begins therapy with different goals, so progress looks different for every family. We regularly review your child’s development through ongoing clinical observation, data collection, and consultation with parents. Progress may include improvements in communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, learning skills, independence, and participation at home, in school, and in the community.

Every treatment plan is different because every child learns differently. Depending on your child’s needs, therapy may focus on developing:

  • Communication and language skills
  • Learning readiness and attention
  • Social interaction and play skills
  • Emotional regulation
  • Daily living and independence skills
  • School readiness
  • Problem-solving and flexibility

Our goal is to help children develop skills that improve everyday life at home, in school, and within the community.

Not necessarily.

Effective treatment is about much more than the number of therapy hours. The quality of teaching, the experience of the clinical team, your child’s motivation, individualized goals, and ongoing clinical decision-making all play an important role in successful outcomes.

At Autism Partnership Hong Kong, we focus on providing meaningful learning opportunities throughout every therapy session rather than simply increasing the number of hours.

Yes.

Treatment recommendations are reviewed regularly as your child develops. As new skills emerge and goals change, our consultants may recommend increasing, reducing, or adjusting therapy intensity to ensure your child continues receiving the most appropriate level of support.

Our goal is always to provide the right amount of intervention based on your child’s current needs—not a one-size-fits-all program.

Yes. Many children attend kindergarten or school while participating in our intensive therapy programs. Our clinical team will recommend a schedule that best meets your child’s developmental needs and, where appropriate, can provide school consultation or support to help your child successfully transition and participate in educational settings.

Choosing an autism intervention program is an important decision, and every family has different priorities.

During your initial consultation, our experienced clinical team will take time to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, developmental history, and family goals. We’ll answer your questions, explain our approach, and recommend a treatment plan if we believe our services are appropriate for your child.

Our goal is to help families make informed decisions with confidence, whether they are beginning their autism journey or exploring new treatment options.
