Autism Partnership's Autism Awareness Online Campaign

A joyful showcase of talent celebrating the unique ways children on the autism spectrum hear, feel, and create sounds.

Every city has its own familiar sounds — train announcements, shop chimes, favourite songs, and everyday tunes. Many children with ASD are especially drawn to these tunes, sounds and songs and may enjoy them in their own unique way.

To promote autism awareness, we invite families to share a sound your child loves from your city, and the object or source connected to that sound.

How to Join? (It's very simple!)

1. Choose a sound your child loves

This event is about understanding and celebrating how children experience their world. It can be:

A city sound

(e.g. train or MTR announcement)

An everyday sound

(e.g. shop entrance chime, lift sound)

Music, ride sounds, or any familiar sound in your city

2. Share it in your child’s way

Your child can sing it, hum it, tap it, play it with an instrument or record the sound — together with a photo, a drawing, or film the object that makes the sound.

Examples:

Take a video of your child singing or humming the sound
(e.g. Disneyland’s “It’s a Small World” ride)
Film the object or location while your child makes the sound
(e.g. traffic light or pedestrian crossing sound)
Take a photo of the object and include the sound
(e.g. convenience store entrance chime, recreated with an instrument)

There is no right or wrong way to participate — any way your child enjoys the sound is welcome.

3. Post and tag us on social media

4. Win a Special NFC Plush Pendant!🎁

To celebrate creativity and participation, 10 participants with the most likes on their social media post will win a special NFC Plush Pendant! Winners will be announced on April 2, 2026. Each plush is linked to the video your child shared. Simply tap the plush with a smartphone and the video will open instantly, so your child can watch and enjoy it again anytime! You can also personalize the plush by linking it to any URL using an NFC app, turning it into a fun and interactive keepsake.
